About the Artist

Hey There!

My name is Elias, or Eli for short. My pronouns are He/They and I am a mixed indigenous multi-disciplinary artist from Lipan Apache and Kapampangan/Pinoy roots. I am a neo-traditional rotary machine tattooer currently working out of a Private Suite at Good Dad Studios Tattoo in South Austin, Texas.

I began my fine arts journey in 2015 when I earned my A.A.S. in Communication Design from San Antonio College, focusing on graphic design principles such as logo design, branding, web design, and marketing. After college, I was uncertain about my path, but I had always dreamed of pursuing my passion for fine arts, with a particular interest in tattooing. In 2016, I started a formal apprenticeship at Death Before Dishonor in San Jose, CA, under Paco Excel. Since then, I have been building my career in the tattoo industry and have since returned to my home state of Texas. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned so much from other artists, and I consider myself a community-taught tattooer. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my art with the local community and beyond.

As a proud queer and trans individual in the ever-evolving tattoo industry, I am focused on cultivating a practice that fosters collaboration and creates a safe space for BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color), LGBTQ+ folks, sex workers, and disabled individuals.

It takes a significant amount of trust to choose someone to mark your body, especially for queer and trans BIPOC individuals. I’m here to work alongside you through that experience with safety, care, and comfort.
